These sarees are crafted from fine cotton or a cotton-silk blend and feature detailed, symmetrical motifs like flowers, paisleys, and geometric shapes. The supplementary weft technique is used, where the designs are woven into the base fabric using small shuttles of colored threads. Creating a Jamdani saree is labor-intensive, often taking months to complete.
