Technique:
Moonga silk Banarasi dupattas are a masterpiece of traditional craftsmanship, woven in Banaras using fine Moonga silk threads. The process begins with preparing the silk yarns, which are dyed and set on traditional handlooms. Expert artisans use jacquard techniques to create intricate patterns inspired by Mughal and floral motifs. Zari threads are interwoven to add a rich, metallic sheen to the fabric. Each dupatta requires meticulous attention to detail and weeks of dedicated effort. The result is a luxurious accessory with a soft texture, natural gloss, and ornate design. These dupattas beautifully combine the durability of Moonga silk with the timeless elegance of Banarasi artistry, making them perfect for special occasions.
